Trophy Antlers & Skull Mounts for Collectors — Stag, Roe Deer & African Antelope | Auction 24–25 Feb

February 19, 2026 by Johan MartensLeave a Comment Filed Under: Uncategorised

Our upcoming sale features a striking selection of mounted antlers and skull trophies, presented on classic wooden plaques in varying sizes—from elegant roe deer antlers to impressive stag / red deer mounts. This is the kind of grouping collectors love: ready-to-hang pieces that instantly create atmosphere in a hunting lodge, country home, chalet, or traditional interior.

Alongside European deer trophies, the collection includes two notable African mounts, clearly labelled:

  • Mountain Reedbuck (South Africa)
  • Grey Duiker (South Africa)

Whether you collect sporting memorabilia, taxidermy and natural history, or you’re curating a dramatic interior statement wall, these mounts offer character, provenance appeal and display impact.

What’s included (as shown)

  • Large stag/red deer antlers on shield plaques (statement scale)
  • Multiple roe deer skull & antler plaques (ideal for gallery-wall arrangements)
  • African antelope horn mounts (Mountain Reedbuck & Grey Duiker) adding an exotic collecting angle
  • A consistent look: traditional wooden shields, varied patina, and strong decorative presence

Why collectors bid on trophy mounts

  • Instant décor: ready-to-hang pieces with dramatic silhouette and texture
  • Authentic sporting heritage: classic hunting-room and gentlemen’s club aesthetic
  • Display flexibility: mix smaller roe deer plaques into a curated wall; use a stag mount as the centerpiece
  • Cross-collectible appeal: works for country-house interiors, curiosity cabinets, natural history displays, and period décor
